Our flexible class series, Keys Roadmap, is designed for adult beginners in Boston looking to learn how to play the piano and:
Advance from beginner to the intermediate level
Develop skills to learn your favorite songs
Learn to improvise and create with the piano
Progress at your own pace
When you enroll, you’ll receive our proprietary curriculum as well as backing tracks, exercises, and select video examples to develop your rhythm, harmonic understanding, left-and-right hand coordination, and improvisation abilities. We’ll also give you a free private piano lesson to help you get started and learn the basics down.
Plus, we guarantee that by the end you’ll be playing full songs and and have the ability to make those songs your own.

Technical
First, you’ll study music theory and learn exercises to build new vocabulary, gain conceptual understanding and improve hand-eye coordination.

Performance
Next, we’ll focus on performing musical compositions and popular songs.
phase 3
Creative
In the final creative phase–the super fun part–you’ll develop a process improvise over chord progressions and gain new tools for soloing!

The Keys Roadmap is designed for adult beginners with little or no piano experience. We’ve broken down the course into three levels to ensure you’re grouped with other pianists with a similar skillset.
Level 1
Zero experience required. This class is for students who've never played the piano or music and who have never taken piano lessons before.

✓ Covers the fundamentals of rhythm, chords, scales, and left-and-right hand coordination.
✓ Learn basic piano accompaniments to be able to play any song!
✓ Learn how to read sheet music to be able to find any song online and understand what to do.
Level 2
For pianists who have either completed our Level 1 class or who have some experience and understanding of piano basics.

✓ Covers more complicated piano accompaniments and an understanding on how to apply them based on song meter and energy level.
✓ Includes a more in-depth explanation of improvisation, melody, harmony, and rhythm to be able to understand how to naturally make the piano (and any other instrument) a part of any song.
✓ More complex songs, pieces, and exercises to expand your comfort zone and improve your piano skills.
Level 3
For pianists who have either completed our Level 2 class or who have a moderate amount of experience and strong understanding of piano basics.

✓ Starts you off on your jazz journey with seventh chords, an understanding of extensions, and even more complicated rhythms.
✓ Builds on previous fundamentals to show you the way forward on continuing to improve your improvisation and harmony skills with new tools.
✓ Adds new scales and finalizes your knowledge of the basics with a complete understanding of how to use the circle of fifths.
