Spring Student Showcase

Join Loudlands for our Spring Student Showcase. Students will perform pieces for members, friends and family, demonstrating their dedication to their craft.

Performing is a vulnerable act. Students have been working so hard behind the scenes, and the best way to celebrate their growth is with the community there to support them.

Digital Awareness will be providing custom visuals for the showcase as well. Come see our students shred with unforgettable graphics to go with it. There will be refreshments and snacks for guests.

All are welcome to attend.

Off The Cuff II

Off The Cuff. Come join Loudlands Music Lab for our second open jam and music hang. Instructors, students and friends are all invited to jam, talk music and hang out. You will all get a chance to hang out at the The Lab, a new space our team is building for events, classes and as a general space to experiment.

The unknown, like an open jam, can be an intimidating thing for musicians of any level, but one of the best ways to expand your craft is to take some risk and just be present. Playing music without structure and a plan is a good way to experiment and often, find new ways to approach your instrument.

See you there.

BOOM: A Rhythm Workshop

BOOM: a rhythm workshop for any musician. This workshop provides an accessible way of thinking about rhythm, broken down into a language to internalize patterns with simplicity.

Meet us at The Lab with Ben Levin and Jessica Kion to explore rhythm in ways that you can use anywhere, any time. We’ll be covering Solkattu, rhythm analysis and subdivisions we commonly know in music.

Ben Levin is a multimedia artist known for his unique blend of music and animation. As a musician, he has traveled the globe performing with bands, bringing fun nights and catharsis to many people. Ben is also an accomplished animator, creating surreal short musicals that have gained him a following on YouTube and collaborations with wonderful artists including Tim Heidecker, Adam Neely, and the Adult Swim network.

Jessica Kion, aka Justice Cow, is a dynamic songwriter and visual artist. When you explore her discography and YouTube channel, you'll find that she not only makes you laugh till you cry with her unhinged comedy sketches, but also makes you cry until you laugh with her reflective and disarmingly personal songs. Jessica has toured the world as a former member of experimental rock band Bent Knee and as a solo artist. She has also directed music videos for notable artists including Corey Wong.

See you there.
