What's your favorite aspect of music or your instrument?

The unlimited freedom of expression and creativity.

Who are some of your favorite bands/musicians and why?

Im a big Radiohead fan, and I also love the Mars Volta. I usually like music that has some complexity to it, whether rhythmic or harmonic; something that pull me in to listen more.

Some of my influences are Buddy Rich, Nate Smith, Eric Harland, Mark Guiliana, Nate Wood, and Marcus Gilmore.

What are some of your current and/or past music projects?

I am currently a member of the Shibui Ensemble, and I am also playing in the Mail Band.

Some past projects of mine include As The Sparrow, Universal Form, Big Whisper, The Bridgebuilders, and YAOW. I am a former member of the NFL Patriots Drumline.

How would you describe your music and playing style?

I like to play fast and busy, but i also really like a good layed back beat and groove that can be slowed down.

Can you please describe your gear of choice?

Right now my ideal set up is a Gretch Catalina 20", 12", 14", and 14x6.5" steel Ludwig supraphonic. for cymbals i like a dry jazz sound, so I'd ask for Istanbul Agop 20" ride, 19" crash, and some 14" hihats

Any general advice you'd like to give to beginner musicians or someone looking to get started?

It can be hard learning a new skill but stay patient, use your ears, and always be open to your creativity and imagination!

Aside from playing/making music, what are some of your other interests and hobbies?

Aside from drumming I am an avid golfer and I try to play as much as I can. I am also a skateboarder and like to ride my bike throughout the city.

If you were battling a physically identical but evil android version of yourself on top of a skyscraper during a thunderstorm and someone miraculously intervened, how would they know which one was the real you?

I would probably be the one losing to the android!
