When we first start playing the drums, we come to the instrument because we’re inspired by the bands and artists that we love. Their big grooves, energetic drum fills, and ability to improvise and solo seems like magic at first.

But the difference between them and you is that they’ve studied the basic principles of drumming, rhythm and sound. They understand the universal methods of learning music and creating and have systems for applying their knowledge into their playing. Good news is, you can learn it too.

The Drummers Roadmap is a 12-week class series for Adult beginners looking to learn the basics of the drumset. It follows a proprietary curriculum designed by the Loudlands team.

In this class series students will:

  • Advance from beginner to the intermediate level

  • Develop skills to learn their favorite songs

  • Learn to improvise and create with the drumset

This is the only group drumset class series in Boston. Students will receive access to the entire Drummers Roadmap curriculum as well as backing tracks, exercises, and select video examples to develop your rhythm, grooves, fills, rudiments, ear training, and improvisation abilities. Plus, we guarantee that by the end you’ll be playing full songs and writing your own drum parts.

Student Testimonials

“Kyle is great at teaching the drums. For beginners like me, he makes learning fun by balancing beginning to play music I’m interested in and enjoy, with helpful skill building. He’s patient and thoughtful. Highly recommend learning the drums with him.”

— Nichole S.

“I have been taking drum lessons here for more than a year. Kyle is an absolute pro as a teacher and a musician. Starting from absolute zero drum experience, he slowly explained everything to me. Lessons are cool, personally adjusted with great insights throughout.”

— Mateusz A.
