Music Production, and Voice

When did you start singing and producing music?

Hmmm... I began singing around 9 years old, and started getting into Music Production seriously in 2016.

What's your favorite aspect of music or your instrument?

I love harmonies. A lot. I also love making soundscapes/songs/beats by taking samples and turning them into instruments.

Who are some of your favorite bands/musicians and why?

That's hard. Björk is one of my favorite artists for her explorative songwriting and producing. Same thing with Kate Bush. I love A Tribe Called Quest for their vibes, lyrics and sample work. Joni Mitchell and Feist as singer-songwriters!

What are some of your current and/or past music projects?

Kit Orion is my solo project! My second record involving the sweat and tears of myself and many friends will be coming out later on this year! And, I am currently playing (Bass and BGVOX in my good friend's band, Justice Cow!

How would you describe your music and playing style?

Experimental/ Singer-Songwriter/ Indie- Pop?

Can you please describe your gear of choice?

Ableton all the way for Music Production. I recently also acquired a Roland SPD Pro which is a lovely tool.

Any general advice you'd like to give to beginner musicians or someone looking to get started?

It's okay to not be good at something right away. Spark your creativity with curiosity!

Aside from playing/making music, what are some of your other interests and hobbies?

I do Yoga. I am a DJ (not a hobby, but something I do for work...but it fosters my never ending quest for tunes). I love to explore beautiful places near and far. I love food. I am an ocean creature, so anytime I am near the sea, I am content. I like to paint and make visual art in various ways.

If you were battling a physically identical but evil android version of yourself on top of a skyscraper during a thunderstorm and someone miraculously intervened, how would they know which one was the real you?

Having them tell me my favorite candle scent. (Juniper/Cedar...) There are so many smells, they'd never know.
